AP Calculus BC

This course is a continuation of AP Calculus AB; it is the second course in a sequence of three courses in calculus and analytic geometry which is designed to closely parallel the content of university mathematics programs which are required of freshmen and sophomores in mathematics, physical sciences, and engineering. This course will help students to reinforce and master the concepts of limits, derivatives, indefinite and definite integrals of algebraic, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions. This course covers advanced techniques of integration, advanced applications of integration, differential equations, parametric equations, polar coordinates and infinite sequences and series, as well as vectors and their applications. Throughout the course, students are given examples of AP Free Response in the form of in-class work, homework, quiz and test questions.

The AP Free Response questions provide excellent opportunities for students to approach Calculus from a graphical, analytical, numerical and verbal perspective.

WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS COURSE?
The students enrolled in this class have successfully completed an AP Calculus AB course.

WHAT KNOWLEDGE WILL BE GAINED?
After completion of the course, you can participate in the National AP Testing Program in May. This test enables you to receive possible college credits and/or Advanced Placement.
