 Some background information:

- 1st hatch is expected Friday, May 3rd.  They could start hatching on May 2nd and may continue thru the weekend. This hatch will be chickens. They started incubation on April 12th.

- 2nd hatch starting on May 8th.  This will also be chickens.  Started incubation on April 17th.  A couple of these eggs have been dyed with food coloring so the chicks will have colored feathers. We inject the dye into the albumen of the egg. We are then able to track these easier for growth studies. This will not hurt nor impact the baby. The coloring grows out as the babies get their primary feathers in a couple of weeks.

- We will have a round of duck and geese eggs hatching May 10th-12th.  They started incubation on April 12th.

- All eggs are donated to us by local farmers for hatching and then they are returned to the farms or some may be kept by agriculture students.

- We do not sell any of the birds afterward to the public.

- Badger High School students who are involved with this project are enrolled in Animal Science and Agriscience classes.
