NHS 2019 Backpack Benefactor Project
Posted on 08/26/2019
Badger High School’s very own National Honor Society, led by Mrs. Laura Shotliff, set out into the aisles of Wal-Mart on a mission. The Backpack Benefactor Project, begun by Julia Adams, a former student at Badger, has been a staple for several years to National Honor Society. Every summer, students use the money they have raised throughout the previous school year to buy school supplies and necessities for those who are less fortunate and do not have the means of providing for themselves. The group was fortunate enough to spend $2500 on backpacks and school supplies to assist roughly 148 students in the Lake Geneva school districts. Numbers are doublings and the members of National Honor Society are striving hard to provide as much as they can for these children.
