Today at Badger we had a hold drill. This drill is used when there is a situation that requires us to keep students in classrooms and clear the halls. During a hold drill students and teachers still conduct class accordingly.
The purpose of the hold today was to deal with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that caught fire causing smoke in a classroom. The hold was lifted and students and staff have returned to normal classroom activities.
