Dear Families,

As partners in your student’s education, it is important to ensure they are prepared for each step along their educational journey. One way to determine student preparedness is through the use of required state assessments. The Forward Exam assesses students growth and achievement on grade level state standards within grades 3-8 and grade 10. Student performance on this assessment will not affect any of their current grades. This assessment helps our staff make determinations about placement of students in classes along with overall curricular and instructional decisions as a district. This assessment is required per state statute. Students in grade 10 will take only Social Studies. This assessment is administered online and will include multiple choice questions, short answer questions, and written responses.Testing will take place within Social Studies classes next week Tuesday or Wednesday, April 25th or 26th. Student attendance is very important on these testing days. Please do all you can to ensure your child is in school during this time. Students not in school on the scheduled testing days will be scheduled for a make-up test prior to the close of the testing window. Please ensure your student gets a good night's rest prior to the testing day, and encourage your child to do their best!

Students should bring with them their fully charged, school issued chromebook and their charging cords.
