Good Day Badger -
As we start our first full week of Virtual Learning tomorrow, here are some thoughts on this unprecedented time. The expectation that the school year will proceed normally is now unrealistic. What is realistic is that we, the Badger community, will adapt and learn through this time of separation.
Between now and April 24, the current end to the State of Wisconsin’s “Safer at Home” order, Badger teachers will work with you to deliver quality learning opportunities via our online format. Do the work, ask questions, and keep on learning. Follow the “Safer at Home” guidelines and stay connected with the Badger community. If you do have internet issues, please reachout to us so we can help find a solution.
At the beginning of the school year, I spoke with our Senior class about this being a year of “lasts” for them. The last Homecoming game, high school musical, forensics competition, and all the other events they would participate in as a high school student for the last time. Currently, we are working to honor the events that are ahead of us. I will keep you posted as more information becomes available.
Badger High School will be open 8 am - Noon Monday - Friday this week (March 30-April 3). Please come to school only if you need items from your locker or PE locker. Practice social distancing and please do not linger at school. The main office will be open during this time as well. We will assist through the Attendance window. Also, I wanted to remind you that breakfast and lunch pickup are available at Badger (Commons area), Central-Denison, and Start Center from 11 am - Noon.
Take care, stay well, and keep on learning.
