4.6.20 Principal Update

Good Morning/Afternoon -

I do hope this email finds you and your family well.  This is a four day week of school. We have Friday, April 10th and Monday, April 13th off of school.  Please use this time to relax, connect with family and friends (some virtually), and give yourself a break.  Here are some important reminders as we move forward:

Badger high school is closed until further notice.  If you need anything from your locker or PE locker, please email me or call me (348-2000 extension 2050) and I’ll be at school to meet you.

If you have an issue with your  Chromebook and you need someone to look at it, you can head to the District Office (small building to the right of Badger’s main entrance) from 9-11am, Monday-Friday (during a normal school week)  and our tech staff will help you.

We will continue to provide grab and go lunches/breakfasts from 11:00-12:00 at Badger, Central-Denison and Star Center. Monday - Friday during a normal school week.

This week is Positive Message Art Week - see our website or recent email thread to participate.

This is my first week working from home.  I’ve decided the only way to be productive is to set a routine.  I am up and dressed by the time our Badger school day would start.  I am trying to have a quiet place to work. And, I am taking screen breaks to look outside and to reset my mind for the next task I need to complete.  Hope you are finding a routine that enables you to be productive.

Take care of you this week.  Remember to reach out to your teachers if you are struggling with the amount of work or have questions or just want to check in.  Do the very best you can under the circumstances.

Question/Answer:

Q:  Due to the virus and the possibility of not going back to school, will seniors not have a graduation?

A:  Yes, we will have graduation.  Currently, we are out of school until April 24th.  As more news becomes available, I will keep you posted on what this means for us.  Regardless of the situation, we definitely will celebrate the accomplishments of our Senior class.
