Good day -
Life is moving pretty fast as we head into the home stretch of the school year. This edition of the Badger Update is packed with information. Please read carefully and buckle up as we all work to finish strong.
Senior Awards/Scholarship Evening
Wednesday, May 20 at 6pm, the Awards/Scholarship Celebration of Excellence will go live. Please watch for email or access our website or social media platforms to view the celebration all at once or be selective about the pieces of the celebration you view. Seniors being honored received an invite in the mail. This is open to any who wish to view. Congratulations class of 2020 on your accomplishments.
Locker Clean Out 9-12th Grade
About ½ of our students who completed the survey said they need to get locker(s) cleaned out. If you do not, please do not come into the building during these times.
- The Main Entrance and Commons Entrance will be open 8 am - 3 pm all four days.
- Students must wear a mask
- Do not linger, get the locker cleaned out (including PE locker) and then leave the premises.
- Please keep to the following dates based on your last name to enter the building. This will help us keep the total numbers in line with current policy.
Date Alpha Guidance Counselor
May 26 A-D Rosencrans
May 27 E-La Deering
May 28 Le-Ri Wolk
May 29 Ro-Z Thoreson
If you’ve forgotten your PE locker combination, please reach out to your PE teacher via email to get your combination prior to coming into the building. (Men’s locker - email any male PE teacher to get your combination/locker number. Women’s locker - email Mrs. Chironis to get your combination/locker number.)
Senior Pick Up
Look for a separate email detailing the process. Dates for pick up are: June 3rd, 9:00 AM through 1:00 PM and June 4th, 1:00 PM through 5:00 PM. Students will select a time frame to come to the Main Entrance of Badger. Please be sure to have your first and last name written in LARGE letters on a piece of paper. Staff will see your name, retrieve your stuff (cap & gown, awards, yearbook, etc.), and then bring it out to your car.
If you are taking an AP make-up test that interferes with both days and times for Senior Pick Up, please contact me directly at [email protected] to set time and date that works for you.
Continue to reach out to teachers and administrators with questions. Thank you for your efforts to have a strong finish to this school year. I am excited to celebrate the accomplishments of our Senior Class this Wednesday. And I have reason to be optimistic that we can celebrate in person August 2.
Be Well,
JStraus

AP Testing
AP testing - second week of testing is now. Here is the update from College Board:
Submitting Exam Responses
We share the deep disappointment of students who were unable to submit responses.
- Beginning Monday, May 18, and continuing through the makeup window, there will be a backup email submission process for browser-based exams.
- This option will only be available for students who were not able to submit in the standard process—and they must then email their responses immediately following their exam.
- These students will see instructions about how to email their response on the page that says, "We Did Not Receive Your Response." The email address that appears on this page will be unique to each student.
- Any student testing between May 18–22 who can't successfully upload their response through the exam platform or send it to us by email, will need to request a makeup exam.
- To protect the security and validity of exams, we're unable to accept submissions from students who tested May 11–15. However, these students can feel confident that the email option will be in place for them during the makeup exams.
- Email submissions will not be available for the World Language exams.
