The Badger High School Academic Team had an outstanding performance in the Southern Lakes Conference Academic Bowl on February 12, 2018, at Delevan-Darien High School. The Badger team took 2nd place with an overall score of 802, just seven points behind the winning team, Waterford. (1st place - Waterford 809, 3rd place Elkhorn 756) There are eight teams in the conference.
Three Badger students earned medals for scoring the highest in their categories in the written test: Carson Hillier – Civics; Braden Kundert – Geography; and Carson Derda - Advanced Math. Derda also received the only perfect score of the night.
In the oral portion of the night - Badger tied for highest overall team score with Elkhorn.
