Badger Advanced Public Speaking Students Perform "Mother Goose" for Central-Denison Students

November 1, 2017 — On Tuesday, October 31, Badger High School Advanced Public Speaking (APS) students performed “Mother Goose” for Central-Denison students.
“Advanced Public Speaking (APS) is a great way to give kids who may not have time to participate in drama or kids who want to improve their public speaking skills to work with an authentic audience. Similarly, it benefits the elementary schools by enhancing curriculum topics or addressing character education or behavioral issues in the classroom. I ask for ideas and input from the elementary teachers, and then I find or write a play that meets the teachers' needs,” said Kim Steiner, APS teacher at Badger High School.
APS students travel to area schools, speak at assemblies, give speeches or dramatic performances for their classmates, and sometimes perform for the community.
The cast for the Mother Goose play at Central-Denison was as follows:
o Ava Mannion as Mother Goose
o Seth Murphy as Mouse
o Anna Schuerr as Blind Mouse
o John Keefe as Clock and Jack B. Nimble
o Nate Fischer as Farmer
o Ellis Tonozzi as Little Boy Blue
o PawHser Shoe as The Cow that Jumped over the Moon
o Wyatt VanDyke as The Little Dog
o Beau LaDu as The Spider
o Lilliann Sulli as Little Miss Muffet
