Bethany Schuldt has been named the Distinguished Young Woman of Lake Geneva for 2023. Bethany is a junior at Lake Geneva Badger High School. Bethany is the daughter of Jennyfer and Jason Schuldt of Lake Geneva.
Founded in 1958, Distinguished Young Woman is a national honorary scholastic program whose mission is to positively impact the lives of young women by promoting scholarship, leadership, and talent. It is a free program that encourages participants to reach their full individual potential while providing over $1 billion in scholarship opportunities. Not only does it connect participants with a nationwide network of women, but it also develops their self-confidence through participation in Life Skills Workshops that prepare them for success after high school.
There are five judging categories: judges’ interview, scholastics, talent, fitness, and self-expression. National sponsors include Barbara Barrington Jones Family Foundation, Mobile County, City of Mobile, Alabama Power Foundation, Show Station, Gant Travel Management, the Coffeen Family, Regions Financial Corporation, Jostens, and Alabama Media Group.
Bethany will join other local representatives throughout the state to participate in the 2023 Distinguished Young Women State Program on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 7 pm at the Franklin Saber Center in Franklin, Wisconsin. Wisconsin state sponsors include the Women at Johnsonville, Jockey, Eder Flag, Mathnasium, and the Staybridge Suites Milwaukee Airport South Hotel. The state program will award $10,000 in college scholarships this year.
