On Friday, April 12, the Badger High School Forensics team traveled to the UW Madison campus to compete in the Wisconsin High School Forensics Association State Forensics Festival. Overall, the team earned six Gold medals, three Silver medals, and two Bronze medals.
In addition, Seniors Jessie Smith and Bella Peetz received 4 year medallions. This highly prestigious award is only granted to individuals receiving a Gold medal all four years of high school competition. Gold medals are only awarded for a perfect score of 25.

- Anna Dickfoss - Silver medal in Moments in History
- Lauren Helsing - Silver medal in Prose
- Kaleigh Leach - Silver medal in Radio News Reporting
- Nathan Dyer - Bronze medal in Impromptu
- Sam Hill - Bronze medal in Solo Serious
Coaches Mark Zastrow and April Machan are extremely proud of the team and all that they have accomplished this season. “Most people fear public speaking, these hardy individuals do it for fun!” said Zastrow.
