
Badger High School students recently were recognized for their projects opportunity to compete at Wisconsin’s Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) State Leadership Conference.
Students receiving accolades included Yvonne Reyes who received gold in National Programs in Action with a project in Community Service called Rolls of Sunshine. Reyes and the club made 27 dozen yeast dinner rolls for the Walworth County Food Pantry the week of Thanksgiving.
Yuilana Ovalle received silver in Chapter Service Project Portfolio. The project presented focused on the chapter work in selling Yuda Bands at school. The proceeds from the bands help to send a student in Guatemala to high school.
Anabelle Jimenez, Jasmin Jimenez and Ricardo Sanchez received the highest ranking of gold in National Programs in Action in the area of Road Safety Assessment-RSA. Their project focused on the RSA that the chapter conducted in October at the intersection of WI Hwy 120 and Bloomfield Road. Anabelle, Jasmin, and Ricardo advanced to Nationals and will compete in July in Anaheim.
