Bob Gruner '75Bob Gruner, Class of 1975, participated football, was a two-time letterwinner in cross-country, three-time letterwinner in track, and four-time letter winner in wrestling. 

Wrestling was where Bob made his name known. He was a Conference Champion as a sophomore, junior and senior. He was crowned Regional Champion during his junior and senior campaigns and also advanced to the state meet as Sectional Champion during his final year. His trip to state could not have been more memorable, as he returned home as the 1975 State Champion at 138 pounds with an undefeated season mark of 32-0. 

Bob received the Outstanding Senior Athlete Award. Upon graduation, he attended UW-Parkside to continue his wrestling career. By the time he left UW-Parkside, he had earned five All-American titles, won a NAIA National Championship in 1979, and was later inducted to the NAIA National Wrestling Hall of Fame, Wisconsin NAIA Athletic Hall of Fame and the UW-Parkside Athletic Hall of Fame.

Inducted into the Badger Athletic Wall of Fame in 2001.
