Athletic Trainer

An Athletic Trainer is provided at Badger High at no cost to you. Athletic Trainers are health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions.
The athletic trainer is responsible for the well-being of your child while they are participating in sports. They can perform evaluations and diagnosis of acute, sub-acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders along with emergency care, prevention, and rehabilitation of injuries. They are here to prevent injuries in athletics and help save you unnecessary trips to the doctor. If your son or daughter goes to the doctor for athletic injury/illness, it is much appreciated if they bring a release back to sports note from the doctor. The athletic trainer is here as a resource for the community and also provide free injury evaluations at the Aurora Lake Geneva Physical Therapy Clinic. In the spring and summer we also provide physicals for the student-athletes at a cost that is refunded back to the schools athletic program. We also provide fee for service activities such as: running evaluations, throwing evaluations, and athletic training (speed and agility training and strength training).
HOURS AT THE HIGH SCHOOL Monday - Friday Fall: 3:00-5:45 p.m. Winter/Spring: 3:00-5:15 p.m. Saturdays: only when there are athletic competitions.
No Athletic Trainer is on-site when school is not in session (i.e. winter break, spring break).
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT THE TRAINER WITH ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS ABOUT YOURSELF OR YOUR CHILD.
