Jack McLean '61

mcleon photoJack McLean, Class of 1961, was a three-sport standout in football, basketball, and track earning ten varsity letters during his Badger High School career. He was a three-time letter winner in football and track. He earned four varsity letters in basketball and was a two-time 1st Team All-Conference player. His teams won conference titles in basketball his sophomore and senior year, while finishing runner-up his junior year. He also earned All-State Honorable Mention status in both his junior and senior years. During his junior year in track, he was the conference champion in the high hurdles. Football is where Jack truly made a name for himself. He was named team MVP both his junior and senior year at Badger, along with being named to the All-State Honorable Mention team his senior year. He was also selected to the All-Conference team during his junior and senior year. After graduation, Jack attended Dartmouth College. He was a starter on the football team his sophomore, junior and senior year . After his senior season, he was named team MVP and was selected to the 1st Team All-Ivy League team. While at Dartmouth, the Big Green won two conference championships.

Inducted into the Badger Athletic Wall of Fame in 2003.
